縱欲之病可醫 而執理之病難醫 事物之障可除 而我理之障難除 (前 190)

The disease that follows desire can be cured, but the disease that adheres to beliefs is difficult to cure. Obstacles that objects block can be removed, but blockages in the way of thinking are difficult to remove. (Book1 190)

Matter seems to be softer and more flexible than mind. Isn't it because of hight volatility? In Buddhism(Abhidhamma), it is said that while matter arises, existing and disappears once, the mind goes through a process of 17 times(Vīthi).
