I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Do you know that one of the things that draws a Poultry farm business back to zero is because of the bad tools management culture of some Farmers? Before I buttress my points further. Even in any kind of business you are doing, once when your tools or equipment are not properly managed, it's either the business remains stagnant or go backward. Moreover, its due to the owners bad maintenance culture.
What are Poultry Farm Tools?
All businesses have their own tools and equipments to smooth run the affair of the businesses. Meanwhile, Tools in the Poultry farm are tools like the Shovel, the Drinkers, the scale, the Feeders, Sacs, Broom, the big Bowls and what have you. These are the major tools in the Poultry farm which I can as well term as the basic tools in the Poultry farm.
Furthermore, the reason for this content is to talk more about the tools management, I mean how Poultry farmers can manage their tools that will take them for longer period of time. For instance, you have made a budget to start rearing 50 birds, some of the tools you buy should be able to take you for at least rear 6 batches 50 birds simultaneously without the need for you to buy any more tools or equipment within this time frame.
So, how you do you achieve this? First thing first, one as a farmer must maintain good maintenance culture so that these tools can last longer. Some weeks back, I went for my usual inspection in one of my friends farm, guess what I saw. I was so disappointed on he littered some of his Poultry farm tools on the floor. Where as, these things are suppose to be kept clean and safe somewhere in case of next time or next batch.
This act financially helps to save you from unnecessary expenses. When these tools are mismanaged, one will keep on buying tools after tools within short period of time there by increasing your cost of production for each set of batch. Like myself, I won't rate my tools management skills 100 percent but I can bold of 80 percent. There are lot of my tools I bought when I started my Poultry farm business then that I still have around like the Shovel, the sacs, the drinkers, the big and small feeders. It's because I am able to keep these tools safe that helps to restrain me from unnecessary expenses from buying tools every now and then.
In conclusion, a farmer has to bear in mind that before you think of even keeping away, one has to clean and tidy them up after they are being used.
