Belle époque Picknick is a happening organized by the zoo of Antwerp to celebrate 170 years of existence. It shows more or less how the zoo looked like back then, when it was more like a park where families gathered for a picknick (and incidentally could find some -rather strange- animals too.)
I really like how people go the extra mile to have themselves dressed exactly like almost 100 years ago (it sure looks authentic to me!)
Well there was someone who didn't :-)
Contemplated to add some noise and vignetting to the photo's to mimic the style of photography of that area, but I thought that would have been maybe a bit too much...
