Yesterday I did a drawing of a raven and I really like the way it turned out. So for todays drawing, I wanted to use the same technique, this way I will remember it better for the future. I don't really draw conventional animals...or anything conventional at all...butI wanted to remain in the same theme as yesterday.

So I went for animal picture hunting. An eagle? Would be nice, but let's keep it for the 4th of July or something, plus I already did a bird. A horse? Again a great idea, but they get all the glamor already. So how about a donkey 😁 . It is in the same family as a horse, it carries everyone's load, yet it is still called an ass. A perfect candidate 👌.

So using chalk and charcoal on black paper, I came out with this. It took quite a few layers and it is a good thing that chalk can be erased. I will probably be doing watercolors back tomorrow, but this method is surely going to makes a few comebacks.

Here are the progress pics
