A new month begins, the first day of July, a day when I have to leave the house to pay bills at a service collection office, and a day when it's customary to increase the tokens staked on the #Blockchain that supports this blog.
It's been almost a week since a disastrous double earthquake in Venezuela. In the following days, floods appeared in other parts of the country and a horrific fire broke out in the western mountainous region… Come on! You almost expected to see an alien invasion, a meteorite falling, or a zombie epidemic, because all the disasters happened in a single week and it's been insane.
Anyway, life goes on, even though it hurts. People keep working, they keep surviving, rescuers keep searching through the rubble for possible survivors, forestry services keep trying to control the wildfires, and the authorities keep trying to coordinate actions to mitigate the effects of the floods in the central plains states of the country.
And while all that's happening, at my house we're still picking up things the earthquake damaged, fixing problems; but we're not complaining at all, because the neighbor's house next door completely collapsed, so having our house still standing (with failing pipes and things like that) is, in comparison, perfectly acceptable.
This year has been tough on me, and we're only halfway through. Anyway, I hope things get better for everyone, that our voting power continues to grow, that the crypto winter eases, that cryptocurrencies stabilize so they can regain their importance and value, and (above all) that we're all well and can read each other again in the near future.

Un nuevo inicio de mes, primer día de julio, un día en que me toca salir de casa para pagar cuentas en una oficina de cobro de servicios, y un día en que se acostumbra incrementar los tokens estacados en la Blockchain en la que se sustenta este blog.
Ha pasado casi una semana de un desastroso terremoto doble en #Venezuela, en días posteriores se presentaron inundaciones en otras parte del territorio y un horrible incendio en la zona montañosa occidental del país… ¡Vamos! Casi que ya uno esperaba ver una nave extraterrestre invadiendo, un meteorito cayendo o la explosión de una epidemia de zombies, porque los desastres ocurrieron todos en una sola semana y han sido una locura.
En fin, la vida sigue adelante, aunque duela. Se sigue trabajando, la gente sigue sobreviviendo, los rescatistas siguen buscando entre los escombros por posibles sobrevivientes, los servicios forestales siguen tratando de controlar los incendios forestales, las autoridades siguen intentando coordinar acciones para paliar los efectos de las inundaciones en los estados llaneros centrales del país.
Y mientras todo eso ocurre, en mi casa seguimos recogiendo cosas que el terremoto estropeó, reparando problemas; pero no nos quejamos para nada, porque justamente la casa del vecino al lado de nuestra casa se derrumbó por completo, así que tener nuestra casa aún en pie (con problemas de tuberías fallando y cosas de ese estilo) es algo que, en comparación, es perfectamente aceptable.
Este año me ha tratado con dureza, y apenas vamos por mitad del año. En fin, deseo que las cosas mejoren para todos, que nuestro poder de voto siga creciendo, que el cripto-invierno se alivie, que las criptomonedas se estabilicen para que vuelvan a subir su importancia y valor, y (sobre todo) que todos estemos bien y nos podamos volver a leer en un futuro cercano.
