Hello everyone. Yesterday I wanted waffles so badly. I ate them a lot at cafes in Turkey. Some places make it very well. I love the taste of waffles. But, I haven't got a waffle maker. There were fruits and Nutella at home. So, I decided to make pancakes then put chocolate and fruits on it so they taste like a waffle. In Turkey, we usually put Nutella and fruits on waffles and pancakes instead of honey. Next time you should your pancakes like this. Here, I shared how I made it. It is easy to make and it tastes so good.
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1,5 cup plain / all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sunflower oil
- 1 packet of vanilla
- 1 packet of baking powder
- Strawberries
- Bananas
- Nutella or similar chocolate
- Any sauce for top
Put the eggs in a bowl, add sugar, mix eggs with sugar in bowl. Use mixer, mix it until sugar melts. It is very important sugar to melt. Then put milk and sunflower oil into the mix and keep mixing it. Add flour, vanilla and baking powder slowly, then keep mixing. The mix is ready!
Heat the pan, put some mix and wait until both sides cook well. If you don't heat the pan before, the mix may stick to the pan. I struggled while cooking because I put too much mix into the pan. :)
After pancakes cook, let them cool. You can wait 5 minutes. After they get cool, spread Nutella on pancake. After that, take the second pancake and put it on top of the other, spread the Nutella on it again. So, There are two layers. You can choose another chocolate or you can spread peanut butter.
Prepare the fruits. Cut the strawberries and bananas, they should be little slices, but not too little. Here, I liked the photos that I took, fruits look very nice.
Put fruits on top carefully then decorate the pancake. I used chocolate sauce. You can use coconut powder, caramel sauce etc etc.
I hope you like it. I think this looks amazing, it isn't different from restaurant waffles and pancakes. My mother and my brother tasted this and they liked it :) We got two waffles like this with this mix. If you want more, you can double the ingredients.
