[RetroGaming] Solving Mazes with Kiki the Monkey! 🐵 | The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
My 3Speaking Today
Hey, what's up, players! I hope you are having a fantastic day because just as I always do I thank you again for being here accompanying me on my 3Speak channel and even more in this adventure of our favorite elven hero, Link, and his incessant search for princess Zelda in A Link to the Past. Players today I have started the path through the Dark World in search of the Power Gold so as to manage to free this world from darkness, but for this first I have decided to follow thoroughly the instructions that Sahasrahla indicated to us as soon as Link was transported to the Dark World, and said his first instruction is to go directly to the Palace of Darkness for the first Maiden who is found trapped in its dungeons under the care of horrendous creatures that abound in this Dark World. According to Sahasrahla in total there are seven Maidens that must be rescued, which is why today I have decided to save time and limit free exploration in favor of getting to the Palace of Darkness as soon as possible, and truly it was the best decision due to the fact that along the way I found strong opposition, besides the fact that I had to solve a sort of maze plagued by all kinds of enemies in order to get to the Palace of Darkness.
🚀 Gameplay HighLights 🔶
- Solving a Maze. It is important to mention that right from the start it can be appreciated that all of Agahnim's troops were renewed in this Dark World, having now that all the enemies that were found on the way to the Palace of Darkness are truly new and it is the first time I see them, standing out among them a sort of cyclops that throw bombs called Hinox, which have an infernal stamina. On the other hand, before solving the maze prior to the Palace, I also found a sort of sub-temple where besides solving a puzzle inside, we also encounter an NPC who does not mention his name but who explains to us the importance of recovering the Power Gold and how he due to his greed ended up under a sort of curse that deformed his body.
- Kiki the Monkey. In the final part of the maze I ran into a very nice monkey named Kiki, who says that: ‘he loves rupees (the game's currency) and that if I can gift him 10 rupees’, to which I clearly decided to agree and right after giving him my 10 rupees he began to follow me for a while. It is worth noting that Kiki's design seems to me fantastically funny : )
- Opening the Palace of Darkness. At the moment of arriving at the main door of the Palace I ran into the fact that the main door to its interior was blocked, but here is where I could find the utility of Kiki's company since he offered to open the door in exchange of 100 rupees, or else I could choose to try to open it on my own, but nah, the truth is I had no desire to solve another puzzle, so finally I decided to give the 100 rupees to my new friend Kiki, and immediately after, he resolved the matter and saved me a great amount of trouble.
For the moment I decide to leave this Zelda post up to here, to say goodbye for today but truly very happy because I think I achieved an important advance in the main plot in this gameplay. See you in the next gameplay number 29 and as always thank you very much for all your support to my 3Speak channel, friends. 🤗♦
