Anyone who has ever tried to build an online following of one form or another is inevitably faced with the question: Should I produce the content that I want to, or should I produce content that feeds into the current consensus to get more followers?
The internet is like a democracy. It dictates our behavior based on what is popular or trending.
Is it possible that there is a dark side to this? Could this type of consensus based content production be limiting the quality of content that is being produced?
