There's random thoughts flowing in my mind now but I had to give it a great enough title and I think that title is perfect.
How do we become stuck in a situation? I believe that this happens to people because they are attempting to fix yesterday's problem with the energy available today. Like if you are unsure of what to do, giving more effort will only cause fatigue. You must first get some kind of useful information regarding your predicament, this could be in the form of a map identifying all areas of your confusion. But then this is where it can be challenging, once the map is completed, you cannot keep reading more books. You must close the books and actually move in a way that you were not prior to reading the books.
This is something I see regularly, people that know far too much but still take little action on what they know.
Then we have the flip side. You begin working and shortly after you decide that you now need a new overall approach or some creative concept to keep things exciting. This isn't the case at this point, your big secret is to simply do the same thing over and over.
It's really boring in fact.
What I think I'm attempting to say is there is the need for you to determine which stage you are currently in. If you already have enough knowledge to be productive, slow down on accumulating more knowledge and actually do something with it. If you are producing, stop searching for the next greatest idea. The real problem is treating all stages as being the same.
I hope that makes sense to some level, since it certainly feels true although it's just random thoughts for me. Growth is not about discovering something that is going to work for the duration of your life, but rather it's about letting go of what has brought you to your present moment.
