To be honest, I’m super upset right now. Unwarranted and misplaced punishments are the worst. Anyway, I have to keep pushing forward. I’ll always have words to write. This is gonna be me ranting. I’m too pissed off not to. Please, indulge me.
What makes us different from each other?
Is it our mindset, the color of our skin?
Our nationality or culture, or even beliefs?
A lot of people would choose one or more.
“But the truth is we are all alike.”
If we really think about it, then we’ll understand.
As humans, our power is our free will. The ability to think for ourselves.
Making decisions based on emotions and wants and needs.
At the end of it all we all want the same thing.
TO BE RELEVANT
Both to ourselves, and the society.
No matter who you are or where you’re from.
Living the best life you can, and being the best ‘you’ you can be is the target.
How we choose to go about it is up to each person.
I try my best to be a non-conformist.
Dancing to someone else’s beat when he or she probably couldn’t dance to save the world just makes me feel like I could do better.
Unfortunately, as Nigerians, we dance to the beat of different drums which are rarely ours from when we are born to our dying day.
This is why I think we still have a lot to learn
But we’re too backwards in the ways that matter, we’re too entrenched in our past and burdened down by beliefs that haven’t helped us at all.
If we don’t change these things, it would take a long time before our society will be where it should.
As for me,
I want to be a dead language.
There will be no one like me
And I will be like no one.
I think that, if we have this mindset, a lot of things would finally be right.
Now, the question you should be asking yourself is;
What is the right way to become the best ‘me’ there ever will be?
