This is my home and the number is 134.
Some 27 years ago, concerned friends politely asked me to reconsider buying this house with the number 134. They gently reminded me number 13 infront is bad luck; coupled with numeric four at the back of 13 in Chinese (Cantonese dialect) means death.

Worse still, when one says 1-3-4 in Cantonese, "yat sang sei" means "death the minute one is born." Damn, how cursed can a number be?!?
I am not a numerologist but for the fun of it, added the numbers together...
1 + 3 = 4... oh oh, means death too!
However, 4 + 4 = 8... The sound of eight in Cantonese means PROSPERITY!
BINGO! That settled it, I bought this home without a second thought!
In reality I love this house the minute i stepped in with the real estate agent. As a second owner, all the lightings and fittings were done tastefully specially the wooden inbuilt cupboards what-have-you.
The best part, I didn't have to do a thing but buy my furniture and move in with my suitcases.
So far so good till today, no still-borns or deaths!
And yes, "PROSPER" I did! A millionaire indeed! My home is worth MYR 1.8m today! Bought it at MYR 295K but I can't cash out unless i sell my home. No thank you, it's my dream home and yes, it feels good to be known as a "millionaire"! Ha!
On a serious note: In life, there will always be ups and downs. But on hindsight those "down times" were always blessings in disguise for better things to come.
So there, embrace No.13 without fear, better still add numeric four behind No. 13 and expect miracles!
