I knew it was around this time of the year, and a couple days ago 
Five years ago, I was roaming Costa Rica, in a dream backpacking trip, when I received the email saying my account had been accepted.
From that day onwards, the reading, the first comments and upvotes; and after getting back home, in May, my first posts. The zero and near zero rewards, but the amazement of how cool it was to have the possibility of earning my first cryptos.
And from there, the growth. Getting to know and interacting with so many people from all over the world over these years, even if only virtually, and finding a portuguese community as well! Posting about my passions, travelling and wildlife, and the refining of writing skills, and photographic ones as well.
I've learned a ton of about photography with all the amazing photographers here, and the difference in my photographies five years ago and now definitely shows. I honed my writing skills, and thanks to the Splinterlands writing contests, my creativity as well! Learned about finance, cryptos, different blockchains... don't think I can even quantify all the information over these five years. And the highlight, getting to grow virtual friendships along the way.
Last year was a special year, because I had the immense pleasure of getting to know a few of you in person, and putting some faces to familiar names, in what was one of the highlights of my year!
I won't tag anyone because I would be forgetting anyone for sure, but believe me when I say that I'm grateful for all the connections I've made here over the years, in chain and off chain; this blockchain is by far my best investment ever, in all its possible shapes, and that only happens because of you! So a big THANK YOU for all that crossed my path here, in one way or another, because...
What will the future bring? No idea, but do I want to stick around, seeing you all grow, and discover how will our beloved blockchain evolve? Hell yeah! 🙂
