Net.

Hello, welcome to my blog and to a new edition of Mujer con "M" de mamá. In the month of awareness and the fight against breast cancer the Womentribe community has painted itself pink inviting everyone to make their contributions in content that reflects testimonies, information and education, all around this disease that attacks mostly women. October has been the month where the invitation was to be in Pink Synapse Mode wearing a pink bra or top while raising our voices for those suffering and surviving breast cancer. In addition, we also join forces by remembering the importance of medical check-ups and self-examination to detect early any abnormalities in the breasts that may be a warning sign.
We already know that the recommended studies are mammography and breast ultrasound. However, breast self-examination should be done monthly regardless of age, but with greater responsibility after the age of 40, as well as medical checkups and specialized studies indicated by the attending physician.
I remember when I was in my forties I had my first mammogram, which despite not showing any serious warning signs, I still had to have an ultrasound to rule out anything that was not right for the doctors. During the mammogram, you feel discomfort, it is a study that can even be painful but necessary because it consists of some x-rays of the breasts that are done from an X-ray room. After this experience, as a woman with "M" for mom feels the need to be responsible in knowing more information about breast cancer, the warning signs and what we can do to take care of ourselves, we learn to put the magnifying glass on the breasts.
By the way, if we are mothers, we should not be afraid to breastfeed our children properly, it is not true that breastfeeding harms the breasts, remember that the mammary glands were created for that function. On the contrary, not breastfeeding does put us at risk for breast cancer. So if you are a mother of a breastfeeding child or are pregnant, put the magnifying glass on your breasts and breastfeed your child, the benefit is for both of you.
I continue, emphasizing the need to put the magnifying glass on the breasts to be sure that everything is going well, we must be attentive to changes in coloration, ailments, lumps, sagging and any sign that is unusual in the breasts. Any woman at any age can develop this type of cancer, even healthy lifestyles are being defeated in some cases, but it is still very important good habits in every way during daily life, as these always help to shield the body from the evils that attack it.
Before I say goodbye I recommend to all women with "M" for mom and to the gentlemen who read me, if you are 40 years old or older, you should have a mammogram or breast ultrasound annually to rule out any abnormalities in the breasts. In addition, it is important to do the self-examination individually by touching and exploring your breasts as recommended by Fundación de la mujer in the following video on their You Tube channel in order to detect any formation or discomfort no matter how small it may be.
Finally, I also recommend reading the information available at Cancer.Net.
