I went for a walk one afternoon under a beautiful blue sky—a clear day really makes everything in the city look so bright. I mention this because in Medellín, the weather can change drastically. One day it’s sunny, and suddenly we’re surprised by huge gray clouds rolling in with a wind that cools the city, while a deluge of rain pours down from the sky—it could easily be mistaken for a thunderstorm. It sounds crazy, but that’s the weather in this city, where the rain can be constant, and in a matter of seconds, the sky—which looks like a huge chiaroscuro painting—turns a brilliant blue.

Of course, not everything is perfect, although it’s thanks to the rain that this city stays green in the beautiful Aburrá Valley. However, there are serious problems of a different nature in Medellín, and things aren’t going very well in other parts of the world either. For example, wildfires continue to rage in countries like Spain, Portugal, France, and Canada, which is very concerning. I’ve seen a lot of disturbing news—and not just about my country, Venezuela—so wherever you are on the planet, I ask that you be careful these days regarding earthquakes and fires.

I’ll continue telling you about my walk. As I was saying, I was greeted by a beautiful blue sky, and I didn’t miss the chance to show it to you as a highlight of my outing. I captured several scenes without much effort because the scenery was perfectly framed for my phone’s camera lens.

I was looking up, captivated by the beautiful blue of the sky, but I was also looking down because there are always flowers that delight my eyes as well, and here I’m showing them to you. I love them because they’re also a treat for my eyes.

Between the view of the blue sky and the flowers I saw during my walk, I had a very pleasant time—or rather, I’d say it was very inspiring, and I hope it was for you, too.

Mi caminata ha sido durante una tarde con un cielo azul muy hermoso y es que un día con el cielo despejado hace que todo en la ciudad luzca muy iluminado. Lo digo porque en Medellín el clima puede cambiar drásticamente. Un día hay mucho sol y de repente somos sorprendidos por grandes nubes grises que llegan con un viento que enfría la ciudad, mientras que cae un gran cántaro de agua desde el cielo que fácilmente se puede presentar como una tormenta eléctrica. Parece una locura, pero así es el clima en esta ciudad, donde la lluvia puede ser constante y en segundos el cielo que luce como un gran cuadro claro oscuro se pinta de azul brillante.


Claro que no todo tiene su encanto, aunque gracias a las lluvias es que esta ciudad se mantiene verde en el hermoso Valle de Aburrá. Sin embargo, hay problemas graves, de otra índole en Medellín y también en otras partes del mundo la cosa no está muy bien, por ejemplo, siguen los incendios azotando en otros países como España, Portugal, Francia y Canadá, lo que es muy preocupante. He visto muchas noticias inquietantes y no solo sobre mi país Venezuela, así que donde sea que se encuentren en el planeta les pido que tengan cuidado en estos días en relación a terremotos e incendios.
Sigo contándoles sobre mi caminata, como les decía me encontré con un cielo azul muy lindo y no perdí oportunidad para mostrárselos como parte resaltante de mi paseo. Aproveché varios escenarios sin mucho esfuerzo porque el espectáculo está dispuesto para el lente de la cámara de mi teléfono.


Estuve mirando hacia arriba, embelesada con el azul hermoso del cielo, pero también miraba hacia abajo porque siempre hay flores que alegran también mi vista y aquí se las muestro. Me encantan, porque también son un colirio para mis ojos.
