Gracias a Dios estaban bien ambas.

A story and several lessons
I recently read a short story about a woman who, fulfilling her daily responsibilities and routine, had set out very early in the morning in her car—first to take her little girl to school, and then to head to work. Surely, more than a few of us can picture ourselves in that scenario.
Everything seemed to be shaping up as a normal day until, suddenly, the woman felt she was losing control of the car. What had happened was that she had lost a tire. She was left stranded in the middle of traffic; she was shocked and, in that moment, didn't know what to do. To make matters worse—and most distressing of all—her child was in the car with her. Thank God, both were safe. However, when she touched the child, she realized the little girl was burning up with a fever.
She had to handle everything, and quickly. A plan of action raced through her mind. First, she would no longer take the child to school; second, she needed to find a tow truck service for the car; and third, she had to take her little one to see a doctor—either at a hospital or her primary care physician.
Everything was uncertain at that moment; what had begun as a normal day had suddenly taken a terrible turn. In her quiet desperation—knowing she couldn't solve everything at once, while her child cried and other drivers honked their horns—she simply bowed her head over the steering wheel and cried out: "Jesus, please help me."
In that moment, she was trapped by her circumstances.
Mateo 28:20

A similar experience
I have a personal story similar to this woman's. One Saturday, I was driving my car with my firstborn son—he was twelve years old at the time and my only child. We were on our way to church but planned to pick up my mother and grandmother first. Suddenly, other drivers began gesturing at me, pointing toward the back of the car. I assumed one of the doors wasn't closed properly.
Since several drivers kept signaling at my car, I decided to pull over to the side of the road; however, when I stepped on the brake, the car didn't stop. I was terrified because my son was with me, and I knew I couldn't rely on the handbrake—it wasn't working at all. I had actually been told recently that it needed alignment because it was completely useless; I had found this out just a few days earlier while stopping to inflate my tires, when I asked the attendant to check the handbrake for me.
Amidst this emergency with the brakeless car, I kept pressing the pedal, but it wouldn't respond. I remained silent the whole time so as not to alarm my son. I looked ahead, realizing I was fast approaching a street corner with a traffic light—something that worried me deeply. There was also a bus in front of me that could stop at any moment to pick up passengers. I was definitely going to crash into something, and my son was right there with me.
Scrambling for a solution, I considered crashing the car into a wall to bring it to a halt, thinking my son might suffer less injury that way. What a terrible dilemma! I was weighing all these thoughts in a matter of seconds, knowing I had very little time before a fatal accident befell my son. In my silent anguish, I cried out in my mind, "My God!" as I firmly grabbed and pulled the handbrake—and the car stopped immediately.
But when the car came to a stop, flames engulfed it completely, rising from the bottom up. "Son, get out fast!" The flames outside were towering, and I couldn't make sense of what was happening. We got out immediately, but I managed to pull the hood release lever, hoping that the people who had stopped could help extinguish the fire coming from the engine. However, the hood wouldn't open.
The most important thing is that my son and I managed to escape unharmed. Once outside, we hugged each other as the car burned completely in a matter of seconds. The people who had stopped tried to put out the fire with extinguishers from their own vehicles and called the fire department; by the time the firefighters arrived, they could only extinguish the flames consuming what was left of the car.
Everything happened so fast and was so confusing. We were driving along calmly when, suddenly, the situation turned into a moment of sheer desperation. The cause? A short circuit in the car's electrical system.
In case I hadn't mentioned it before, I had only owned that car for two weeks. It was a gift from my dad because I didn't have a vehicle. Right then and there, I said to God: "You gave it, and You took it away. I don't know why, but I accept Your will; the most important thing is that You saved us. Thank You, my God."
Trapped... Have you ever felt that way?
I think I can hear your answer; as homemakers, mothers, and wives, we often face similar situations. At any moment, any of us might feel like life is treating us unfairly or find ourselves caught between a rock and a hard place—but don't despair. Trust in God, hold His hand, take a deep breath, and move forward!
His promise is: "I assure you that I will be with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20
Remember, it doesn't matter who you are or what you do. This promise is for you and for all women—whether you are a teenager, a mother, a young woman, an adult, or a grandmother. Before I sign off, I want to share another biblical gem with you:
"But I am certain of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Put your hope in the Lord; be brave, take heart; put your hope in the Lord!" Psalm 27:13-14
