This Wednesday dawned with cloudy skies; we’ve had heavy rain at night over the past few days. Sometimes the rain lasts until morning, cooling things down a bit—which is welcome, since the temperature in Medellín has been quite hot lately. In fact, people have been complaining about the heat.

With the sky cloudy and the air feeling nice and cool, I headed out for a walk—specifically to take part in this Wednesday challenge on Hive. Early on, the sky looked gray, but as the morning progressed, it began to clear, gradually revealing its blue color. The sky gifted me some very special photos this morning; I took them looking straight up from beneath the tall trees I came across.

Suddenly, the sun was bathing the entire city, and increased activity among the residents was noticeable despite the heat that was beginning to set in. Medellín is a city that moves with you—as a government slogan puts it—and I stopped to take a few photos at a busy intersection.

Leaving the traffic behind, I’m on my way back home. It is very common to spot certain birds, and it is delightful to see the little ones that frequently wander all over the city—though they look even better when seen in green surroundings, like the pair you are about to see. How adorable!

I’m almost home now, but my walk isn't over without taking a few final photos—a real feast for the eyes, and I hope for yours too.

Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog.
Este miércoles amaneció con cielo nublado y es que en los últimos días ha llovido fuerte en las noches. A veces la lluvia dura hasta que amanece refrescando un poco el clima porque la verdad es que la temperatura en Medellín se ha puesto caliente últimamente. Tanto es así, que su gente se queja por el calor.
Así con cielo nublado y clima muy fresco me fui a dar mi paseo, especialmente para este reto de los miércoles en Hive. El cielo en las primeras horas de la mañana tenía un aspecto gris, pero a medida que avanzaba la mañana fue despejándose apareciendo poco a poco su color azul. El cielo esta mañana me regaló fotos muy especiales que tomé en contrapicada entre los arboles altos que me encontré.



De pronto el sol bañaba toda la ciudad y se nota un mayor movimiento de sus habitantes a pesar del calor que empieza a sentirse. Medellín es una ciudad que se mueve contigo, como dice un slogan gubernamental y me tuve a tomar algunas fotos en una intersección vehicular muy transitada.



Dejando atrás el tránsito, sigo ya de regreso a casa, siendo muy común ver ciertas aves y es grato ver las pequeñas avecillas que se pasean comúnmente por cualquier lugar de la ciudad, pero lucen mejor cuando las veo en entornos verdes, como este par que verán a continuación. ¡Qué adorables!


Ya estoy cerca de la casa, pero mi paseo no termina sin antes tomar unas últimas fotos que también son un colirio para mis ojos y espero que para ustedes también.
