Here in Wisconsin, flowers cannot survive the winters outside. They would now be covered in a foot of snow. But they thrive in our sunroom. And one of our Hibiscus has been blooming, so I took a few photos to share with all my blogging friends.
Hibiscus is a beautiful flowering plant that is from tropical climates. Hibiscus are known for their large beautiful flowers. There is also a tea made from the Hibiscus flowers that is served both hot and cold. This Hibiscus Tea is red in colour, with a tart flavor. The tea is a healthy choice for its vitamin C content.
For all my friends from the PH, according to wikipedia: In the Philippines, it is a souring ingredient for almost all local vegetables and menus. Known as labog in the Visayan area, (or labuag/sapinit in Tagalog), the species is an ingredient in cooking native chicken soup.
