Here we are at the Fun Day of an Old Age Home! No photographer and so they asked me to come and help.
I have been advised to make my photos smaller on Steemit! Is this too small?
Most of the 350 residents are in frail care and wheelchair bound!
The outdoors is a great healer and fun activities like drumming and exercises were held with the residents!
It was our pleasure to help out at the home today! Marian had the smaller camera and I had the bigger one!
It is whenever I preach at these homes, or at an event like today, that the truth clearly dawns upon me.
If we are not, by grace, taken away before our time, we are all going to end up like this!
Old and defenseless! Ravaged by illnesses, both physically and mentally!
So here's the thing! My monthly take home pay is the same as a janitor's.
I also run a charity that struggles with finances and we live a very sparse life!
Yet, by grace, I am able today to donate 15% of my salary to this home!
The truth is that you can cling for your life to all your wealth.
But wealth is of no use compared to health!
Oh yes, every day we hear stories about how many millions we can make!
People dementedly work all hours in the chase, forgetting the cost to their health.
I for one can never be a millionaire!
Why? Simply because I will invest it and pay the interest to homes and charities like this.
My time is coming to sit like this.
At least I want to know that I tried my best in this life!
