A lady asked me to replace her worn back door lock and a little resident helped.
So I called her and asked her to please pass me the blue screw driver.
A cute little kitty that was all over my feet while I was working on the lock and very playful. The thing is when I go back home Troy automatically smells my feet and he will sulk for a week if he gets the smell of a cat on it. So I had to sneak into the house when I was finished with the lock to wipe my shoes in the kitchen.
More problems as I used one of Marian's dishcloths to wipe the cat smell off my shoes and of course she freaked :)
But I digress, so come and watch this little helper.
So she moved the screwdriver sideways to get a better grip on it.
Look how desperately she tried to lift the screwdriver.
Sheer dejection as she couldn't lift and pass the screwdriver to me.
I was finished with the lock and in order to appease the little one, I asked Marian to give her the keys so that she could have the honor of being the first to open the door with the new lock.
But no such luck as she was disappointed that she couldn't pass me the screwdriver.
How many times have we felt disappointed when something that we tried to do turned out to be a failure. I know that feeling so well as I worked hard once to do a new project that according to me would have great results. But when it came to the implementation of the project, no funders would help me. 3 months of long hours down the drain. Total dejection.
But wait, a few years later, one of the funders that I approached launched a very similar project with high hopes and it turned into a complete disaster, as criminals stole the equipment.
So in fact my wasted effort was indeed a lesson, as that could have happened to me had I launched the project, so by grace I was blocked.
I see failures as lessons and now that little cat knows that it can never pick up a screw driver. Had it been able to, the tool could hurt it, so it really wasn't meant to be a disappointment.
Psst. In case you think that I am crazy, just to let you know that she was only playing around :)
And That's All Friends.
