A show of Crystals and Iron wood like no other!
After yesterday's roller coaster emotional visit, I decided to show you something completely different today.
The beauty that mankind can create from nature.
Jasper Stone and the heavy Iron wood are some of my favorites and I will show you the work of a master crafter here.
Let's have a look!
But first let's see some rocks, how's this Crystal one?
As you can see, these are very big stone slabs of crystals!
These are called Geodes Amathyst Crystals in their natural state!
Here is a closer look at the Amathyst crystals!
Here we have a Zebra Jasper stone ball of 26 kilograms.
This is an Orange Jasper stone ball!
My favorite, a Blue Jasper stone ball!
This guy was carved in Butterjade stone!
The large statue here was carved in an Iron Wood tree stump.

Takes 8 guys to lift and load this carved Iron wood table and chairs. Wood so strong that it will last for centuries!
There are many great wood and stone craftsmen in Africa and their work has become known throughout the world. An honest and intricate art that feeds many families. It is said that once you have visited Africa it stays in your heart.
These arts and crafts have been traded since the African continent became populated and some of them are ancient.
Jewelers all over use the stones to make beautiful rings and necklaces and of course South Africa's diamonds are also very popular.
But this is a post in support of the African craftsmen that work so hard to make a living.Many of the craftsmen have to support large families and their beautiful work will not look out of place even in palaces. It is hard work and it takes many hours to create a masterpiece, but it is created in love and skill. A love for Africa and a proud display of immense skill.
So, the next, or the first time that you visit South Africa, please support these guys, even if you buy something small.
