Care is essential to be successful.

We certainly have some beautiful grape farms in the area near the mountains.

Today I will show you a protective automatic sprayer in action.
Most of us think that once a crop is planted then we simply wait for it to grow and then we harvest the fruits.
But this is not so, as firstly the soil needs to be cultivated and other actions like regular pruning play a big role in cultivating top quality fruits.
Come and have a look.

This is the sprayer in action that I am showing you today.

I got a nice thumbs up greeting from the tractor driver.

As he completed the lane he started into a turn to spray the next lane.

A complicated revolving drum sprayer was hitched behind the tractor.

And here he was on his way again to spray the next lane.

Finally just to show you the length of the grape vines and each lane needs to be sprayed.

A bio-degradable chemical solution was developed to protect the fruit against swarms of insects and also not to harm the soil.
To be safer all fruits are screened and washed before packaging or processing and this process was developed over many years to find the ultimate solution to the insect invasions.
Such is the way things are for now and I am sure that more headway will be made in crop protection.

And That's All Friends!

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS Bridge camera.

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures.
