A most scary sight as we frequently have major losses from fires.

Never a pleasant sight but thankfully the wind was blowing towards the mountains and not in our direction. Fire is one of the scariest alarm calls in nature and those animals that can flee at speed, but it's the small life in nature, such as tortoises and snakes that suffer.
Of course when the fires reach the developed areas, many buildings are damaged and there is always the danger of loss of life.

This fire cloud below was my fire warning at home.

So we jumped into the car to go and see if help was needed.

Nope, it was far off and several fire engines rushed to the scene,

The fire is still on the go this morning and we will go and have a look again.

Never a pleasant sight is it? We lost some museums and other heritage buildings in a fire last year and other fires laid waste to a total of 200,000 acres of land. Farmers lost many crops and many animals died.
Our country seems to be under attack as we had debilitating floods in KZN recently and also a major locust plaque.
Almost a biblical experience.

And That's All Friends.
