This guy knows that the big storm is hitting us at midnight!
The question is, why would he bath if he will be sopping wet tonight?
Well he realizes that tomorrow he will have to remain hidden for the whole day and only late on Tuesday will they be able to fly again. So he is preparing for a long hide away.
The wind has already started to sing it's warnings through the branches here.
But first he had to wait in a queue, as Lady Thrush was drinking at the bath. You can see the Robin at the bottom, right, as he is keeping a safe distance due to the Covid regulations.
Right, and it is showtime.
I was standing about 2 meters away from him!
Beautiful as he fluffs the water off!
Right, now for the second bath!
Bang and he flaps those little wings like a Hovercraft!
He said, "What do you think of that mate"? Before disappearing into a bush in order to dry himself!
Looks like a brand new sixpence doesn't he?
We are in this place for a full year now and most of the little and big birds have taken a liking to us. They know that we mean them no harm and Marian befriends them with all of her feeding habits. Yes, everything is not always hunky dory, as we have about 20 ringneck doves here that steal the squirrel's nuts and at times the Egyptian geese and the Pied Crows get into fights.
But we try to keep the peace as best we can.
I just wanted to share a bit of our world here with all of you!
