This old tractor was placed in the kiddies playground.
Always great to be outdoors and in here I will show you some lovely colors on my walk. A great thing about the farms over here is that they are all conscious about the importance of nature and they farm according to nature's dictates. The way to farm is to manage and to protect nature and that's why we have old farms here that were established in the 1600s, still going strong today.
So come and see and tell me what you love about being outdoors.
Nature and farming go hand in hand, as without nature no farming can take place.
Let's walk a bit further to the farm next door.
Ah that pink hibiscus flower hid the songbird behind it.
Beautiful against the blue sky methinks.
Here is a yellow double Hibiscus flower.
Some geese were heading to the shade below a tree.
Like I said, just some photos of the things that I find beautiful. The colors certainly compliment nature and look as I might, I couldn't see any flying buzzards. Normally I get them here, but the day was hot and they must also have been sitting in the shade. No hawks either, so I concentrated on getting some colors.
Instead I will show you a flying White-necked Raven (Corvus albicullis).
I got him very early this morning.
Nature has changed over time time and now with the perceived global warming issue the farmers have to cope with strange and at times dangerous weather. Some areas had unusual rainfall and the swamps have delivered a vast plague of Locusts that strip the farms in the provinces. Scary thoughts as some of the vineyards here were planted very long ago and if a swarm of locusts were to invade here then billions worth of damages can be caused.
But such is a farmers life, as they are totally dependent on the soil.
