The Robin sang; "Let the sunshine, let the sunshine...." a song called "Aquarius" by the group "5th Dimension", from the musical "Hair"
In the cars here today the temperatures average 35C and that is indeed hot my friends!
It is only early summer here and we peak in February.
But come and have a look!
Ever seen a dove yawn? The result of the Robin's song and the 30C heat!
But he knew that he couldn't sleep up there, so he decided on some grooming actions.
This is not an ordinary dove, as the red ring around his eyes means that it is a " Red Eyed Dove" (Streptopelia semitorquata)
The "Olive Thrush" (Turdus olivaceus) was also going around with his mouth hanging open in the heat!
And finally, we all know the little Sparrows, as they appear all over the world.
Here is a family at the bird bath!
At this time it seems that it is going to be a very hot summer again. They say that 2019 was our hottest year ever recorded here in South Africa.
Scary stuff when the needle approaches the 50C mark.
My favorite temperature range is 19-24C, but once it goes to 30C and upwards then the heat becomes unbearable.
To sweat and suffer seems to be the order of the age ๐คฃ
And That's All Folks!
Here is a truth to think about!
โThe secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the newโ!
