A quality post to test the new Hardfork!
Many comments and questions about the new Hardfork have sown some confusion. I am hoping that the results of this post will give me some answers.
A most amazing situation took place this morning between a man and a wild animal. We saw the squirrels here at our new home and I decided to try and form a friendship with one of them.
Well "Squirry" certainly surprised me!
It all started like this and you can see the little guy next to the tree!
Hello little one, look I've got a peanut for you!
Calm and very slow movements in silence do the trick!
Of course after every nut he dashes off to go and bury the nut in different places.
Here he is back again to fetch another nut!
And slowly but surely I raised each nut a little bit higher up my leg!
Ever higher I raised my hand when he came to fetch the next one!
At times he popped up on the wrong leg hahaha.
As in the first photo, this was the highest that I raised my hand for him to climb!
And then it was over. "Squirry" left happy and I was just as happy.
It was indeed a totally amazing experience and Marian was also overjoyed taking the shots through the window with my camera.
Squirry is sure to be back tomorrow and I will repeat the exercise, but then I will give it a couple of days break to avoid him becoming dependent on me. He is a wild animal and he must stay a wild animal.
Some tips here if you are going to try this, which I will not advise.
Never try to touch a wild animal.
Avoid looking into their eyes.
Act very calm and slow with no quick movements.
Never hang onto the food. Release it as soon as he has grasped it to avoid bites and scratches.
Keep quiet as wild animals don't like the sound of mankind however soothing.
Remember that the bite, or even a scratch of a wild animal can create serious health complications!!!
Hope you have enjoyed this adventure and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity.
