Hell Of Death is an upcoming novel by the mighty Vince Kramer, Author of "Gigantic Death Worm", "Death Machines Of Death" and "Deadly Lazer Explodathon".

I had the honor to make cover illustrations for all of his books and when i got an e-mail from Rose (editor of Eraserhead Press) saying that Vince had just written another crazy story i was stoked !
for the cover they requested a "giant goofy heavy metal version of Satan in the fiery pits of hell."
whoa nice! i could imagine how that would look like but i was a bit rusty with painting.
i googled for references but for this one i wanted to give everything so i took a reference pic of myself.
hell it was so good i just traced it ! :D
a masterpiece of photography for sure!
and also goofy enough so i went on detailing the thing. hell yeah!
"satant rules" was requested to be written on the t-shirt so i added that :
now i started to paint the fiery pits of hell -
satan had to be huge so the hell-scape had to be very tiny but i still wanted to have some demons and tortured souls in there.
added some color
and more detailing - also used some phot-textures for the flames
and the final image with more contrast and some more polishing here and there.
there are some tiny details that nobody will ever be able to see on the book cover but it will look nice on a poster. :)
