When I heard this phrase for the first time I could not help but wonder if I was such a thing. This phrase usually makes us think that we have to discover something to feel like someone original, but, no, and that everything is already discovered or done?
Well, to be honest, this has me in a bit of a bipolar position. I think that indeed everything is already done or invented but when I see the great innovations and inventions this thought is discarded. Is it possible then that 95% of the population can never be original? Is this a mere cognitive luxury that few can have?
For my consolation, I have decided that to be original means to be ourselves, to give our personal touch to whatever we do, but again I repeat, this is just an arbitrary decision for self-consolation.
The phrase or question is popularly used for what I tell you I have decided to believe, thank God, however, this does not mean it is entirely true.
