Causes of drug addiction can be traced but not limited to what I am about to list
1) Peer Influence: peer influence or peer pressure can cause drug addiction because walking with people that abuse drug can lead to one abusing drug too.
2) Depression: some people abuse drug because they are depressed due to what they are passing through in life and the believe been high on drug with make them forget the reason why they are depressed.
3) Due to lack of communication or lack relationship with people around them.
4) Emotional Reasons: some people get high on drug and abuse drug when they are emotionally down and they need the drug to loft there spirit.
5) Some people get addicted to drug abuse because of the nature of their job, like people doing heavy duty jobs, They use it so that the rate at which they feel pain will reduce.
6) Environmental factor can also be a reason for someone to be addicted to drug.
7) Pressure from work or school can make someone addicted to drugs.
