This is a very nice question. What makes a marriage successful can vary from one reason to another depending on the individual involves because what works for one person might not work for the other person.
Here are some things that can make a marriage successful
1) Total Trust
2) Good communication
3) Understanding
4) Total Commitment
5) Love
6) Not keeping secret from each other
7) Forgiveness
8) Avoid been angry at the same time (husband and wife)
9) Spending quality time with each other
10) Avoid third party in the relationship.
11) Put God in the relationship.
