I can almost taste it now!
I've recently had the opportunity to observe a few mature fruit trees. From apples and pears to peaches and cherries, it's been encouraging to see all of the food that is possible to be produced from a mature tree. Many of ours will be pruned smaller than some of these, but still....
Honestly, I'm just glad to be started. We had to leave some fruit trees planted in Wisconsin when we moved here, and now we are planning for the future all over again. If we never plant them, we'll never get to eat the fruit they'll bear, so we are one step closer to tasting that harvest. Here's a few photos of some mature apple and pear trees that recently encouraged me.
