ย Greetings to all the #HiveAnimalLovers that give life to the #HivePets Community. Today I bring you a #SpecialEdition post, as I want to share with you the whole process, the experience lived with Pegui-Pegui these days, and how she is now after being a new mom.
ย As you may recall, last Friday I shared a Publication where I was full of emotions believing that this little girl would give birth to her puppies that day, but the truth is that it didn't happen and I will explain what happened.
ย Well, that Friday, October 25, we thought Pegui had gone into labor because she was quite dull and started bleeding from her intimate area. We had been told (according to the date she was mounted) that she was already starting her labor, but who told us that was not the vet himself but a friend who also knows a lot about dogs from experience.
ย The thing was that between panic and emotion, we got carried away and we were waiting for those puppies to come out, but days went by and nothing at all, she didn't show any symptoms like constant panting or looking for a dark place like a cave to give birth, she was just looking for company, she didn't want to be alone. And the detail is that since that Friday she did not stop bleeding either.
ย And although the bleeding was not a constant flow as with the period, it was when making certain movements, and there were even times when she was leaking something like old blood and vaginal mucus, she was very calm, that is, she did not complain of pain at any time for being like this.
ย However, we were watching her because of that bleeding, first believing that it was due to the early birth of the babies, but then we got worried when we consulted San Google and found alarming information about the reason for the bleeding during the dog's pregnancy. In this case, it was my dad who made us worry more, and on Wednesday, October 30th we decided to take her to the vet.
ย I was calm because I knew that her pregnancy was going well so far, but my parents, who get alarmed by anything like Carlos Distress, I let them be. At the vet, the doctor checked her and did an Echo, we saw 4 puppies and he told us that he didn't know how many she had in total because of the size and that she was about to have candy, he couldn't tell us for sure.
ย He also told us that the puppies looked healthy, I saw several little legs moving as if fighting for their own space, and seeing them with so much movement he said that they were getting ready to go out. She said that if they didn't give birth during the afternoon she would do it the next day or at the latest by Saturday, that is, tomorrow. Well, she was quite nervous in the consultation, I had to hug her to calm her down.
ย The doctor checked her well and did a pelvic exam with his fingers and noticed that she had a small tumor the size of a Toronto (a Venezuelan chocolate that looks like a bonbon). This is due to a venereal disease that was transmitted to her by a stray dog when he rode her while she was living on the street. Unfortunately, a dog infected her and now we have to give her chemotherapy treatment.
ย But that will be for next year, God willing. For now, it is not possible because she has just given birth and is giving milk. I was so excited that day of the consultation with the doctor that I didn't take pictures but I did take pictures of certain parts of the birth of the puppies.
ย On Thursday 31st from 2 am she started to have her babies until 4 am. I, for my part, had to assist Pegui with the fourth puppy because she was tired and didn't want to clean them. So I carefully peeled them off and cut the umbilical cord so that she could clean them more comfortably.
ย In total, she had 8 puppies of which 5 are males and 3 are females. So I had 9 reasons (including Pegui) why I was absent from Hive these two days. I was up all night and Mommy Dog Mode.
ย I will tell you later in the next post which ones are which. In the meantime, I will let you guess, and let me know in the comments your opinion. In order not to make this post too long I'll leave it here and next time I'll show you the whole process. For now Pegui is in my room with her kids in the most comfortable air conditioning with a barrier so they don't crawl too much.

ย Saludos a todos los #AnimalLovers de Hive que dan vida a la Comunidad de #HivePets. Hoy les traigo un post #EdicionEspecial, ya que les quiero compartir cรณmo fue todo el proceso y la experiencia vivida con Pegui-Pegui en estos dรญas, asรญ como tambiรฉn cรณmo estรก ahorita luego de ser madre primeriza.
ย Si bien recuerdan, el viernes pasado compartรญ una Publicaciรณn cargado de muchas emociones creyendo que esta niรฑa darรญa a luz a sus perritos ese dรญa pero la verdad no sucediรณ asรญ y les explicarรฉ quรฉ fue lo que pasรณ realmente.
ย Bien, ese viernes 25 de octubre creรญmos que Pegui habรญa entrado en trabajo de parto porque estaba bastante apagadita y empezรณ a sangrar por su zona รญntima, ademรกs nos habรญan dicho (segรบn la fecha que la montaron) que ya estaba empezando con su labor de parto, pero quien nos comentรณ eso no fue el veterinario en sรญ sino un amigo que tambiรฉn sabe mucho de perros por experiencia.
ย La cosa fue que entre el pรกnico y la emociรณn nos dejamos llevar y nos quedamos expectantes a que salieran esos perritos pero pasaron los dรญas y nada de nada, asรญ como tampoco presentรณ sรญntomas como jadeo constante ni buscar un lugar oscuro tipo cueva para dar a luz, sรณlo buscaba compaรฑรญa, no querรญa estar sola. Y el detalle es que desde ese viernes no dejรณ de sangrar tampoco.
ย Y aunque el sangrado no era un flujo constante como con el perรญodo sino que era al hacer ciertos movimientos, e incluso hubo momentos en los que botaba algo como sangre vieja y moco vaginal, ella andaba de lo mรกs tranquila, es decir, no se quejรณ de dolor en ningรบn momento por estar asรญ.
ย Sin embargo nosotros si estรกbamos pendiente de ella por ese sangrado, primero creyendo que se debรญa por el pronto nacimiento de los bebรฉs pero ya luego nos preocupamos al consultar con San Google y dar con informaciรณn alarmante del por quรฉ la razรณn de dicho sangrado durante el embarazo del perro. En este caso fue mi papรก quien nos hizo preocuparnos mรกs y el miรฉrcoles 30 de octubre decidimos llevarla sรญ o sรญ al veterinario.
ย Yo andaba tranquila porque dentro de todo sabรญa que su embarazo iba todo bien hasta el momento, pero mis padres que por cualquier cosa se alarman tipo Carlos Angustia, los dejรฉ ser. En el veterinario, el doctor la chequeรณ y le hizo un Eco, vimos 4 perritos y nos dijo que no sabรญa cuรกntos tenรญa en total porque por el tamaรฑo y que ya estaba a punto de caramelo no sabrรญa decirnos con certeza.
ย Nos comentรณ tambiรฉn que los perritos se veรญan saludables, vi varias patitas moviรฉndose como peleรกndose por su propio espacio y al verlos con tanto movimiento dijo que se estaban acomodando para salir. Que si no parรญa en el transcurso de la tarde lo harรญa al dรญa siguiente o a mรกs tardar para el sรกbado, es decir maรฑana. Y bueno ella estuvo bastante nerviosa en la consulta, la tuve que abrazar para calmarla.
ย El doctor la revisรณ bien y le hizo una exploraciรณn pรฉlvica con sus dedos y notรณ que tiene un pequeรฑo tumor del tamaรฑo de un Toronto (un chocolate venezolano que parece un bombรณn). Esto a causa de una enfermedad venรฉrea que le transmitiรณ un perro callejero al montarla mientras estuvo viviendo en la calle. Lamentablemente la contagiรณ y ahora debemos hacerle un tratamiento de quimioterapia.
ย Pero eso serรก para el aรฑo que viene Dios mediante. Por ahora no se puede porque estรก reciรฉn parida y dando leche. Yo de la emociรณn ese dรญa de la consulta con el doctor no tomรฉ fotos pero si tomรฉ imรกgenes de ciertas partes del parto.
ย El jueves 31 a partir de las 2 am fue que empezรณ a tener a sus bebรฉs hasta las 4 am. Yo por mi parte, tuve que asistir a Pegui a partir del cuarto perrito porque ella del cansancio no buscaba limpiarlo. Asรญ que con sumo cuidado se los despegaba y les cortaba el cordรณn umbilical para que ella los limpiara mรกs cรณmodamente.
ย En total tuvo 8 cachorros de los cuales 5 son machos y 3 son hembras. Por lo que tuve 9 razones (incluyendo a Pegui) por las cuales me mantuve ausente de Hive estos dos dรญas. Anduve trasnochada y Modo Mamรก Perruna.
ย Mรกs adelante en prรณximos post les comento cuales son cuales. Mientras tanto los dejarรฉ que adivinen y me dejen saber en los comentarios su opiniรณn. Para no hacer muy largo el post lo dejarรฉ hasta aquรญ y la prรณxima les muestro todo el proceso. Por ahora Pegui estรก en mi cuarto con sus niรฑos en aire acondicionado de lo mรกs cรณmoda con una barrera para que no gateen de mรกs.
