How are you experiencing this World Cup?
In one corner of my house, I set myself up away from the family noise and set up a TV so I could watch as many games as possible. As I write this, England is playing Ghana, and so far the first half has been incredibly monotonous. But honestly, I’m enjoying this World Cup almost entirely, and that was something I’d been meaning to do.
In the afternoon, there was also time to go out for a ride and enjoy the sun, which has been shining on us during these very cold days in Argentina. Today I went out with the legend of the Cyclone group, my friend “El Whass,” who, at 70 years old, continues to bring life to life. He tells me his stories over and over again and, above all, talks about all the projects he has planned for the future. He says he’s not 70—he’s simply 40 plus 30, which, according to him, isn’t the same thing 😅. He truly is someone who inspires others to live life to the fullest and treat every second as if it were the
Of course, this morning I made sure to cook for my son, who was at school. He told me he wanted a “milanesa” sandwich—but a “complete” one... Meaning it had to have tomatoes, eggs, ham, cheese, and lots of mayonnaise. One unusual thing I’m doing with him is giving him the responsibility of walking four blocks from school on his own. In other words, I wait for him in the park where we always have lunch, and he walks over on his own. It might seem insignificant, but to me it’s really important. The fact that he leaves school, gets on his bike, and pays attention when crossing the street all by himself—that’s a big deal. He’s 12 years old, and to me, he’s still my little boy ❤️. He ate both of his breaded cutlet sandwiches, along with almost a liter of orange juice, and then I took him back to school for the afternoon session.
