Accepting "The Traitor" contract in Baghdad, I cleared my notoriety before entering the Soap Boilers District. After a marksman targeted my eagle, Enkidu, I infiltrated the rooftops, and used a chain assassination to execute the marksman and freed the skies for Enkidu.
I accepted a new contract titled The Traitor, which tasked me with eliminating a perfume trader exposed for working against the local merchant guilds. To fulfill the contractor's specific request, I needed to execute the target using an environmental kill.
I fast-traveled to the high viewpoint near the Great Mosque in Baghdad to position myself near the trader's suspected hideout. I executed a leap of faith the top of the tower, into the hay below, with the massive mosque standing behind me.
Noticing my notoriety level was dangerously high, I set out to reduce enemy awareness by tearing down bounty posters scattered across the district. I located the first poster along an alley wall.
Then immediately spotted a second nearby. Tearing down both posters cleared my wanted status completely, allowing me to navigate the crowded streets without drawing immediate suspicion from passing patrols.
Moving deeper into the city, I discovered the Soap Boilers District just as night fell, leaving the streets shrouded in darkness beneath a heavily clouded sky.
I summoned Enkidu to scout the perfume trader's exact position from above, but a hostile marksman stationed on a high roof spotted my eagle and shot at him, forcing Enkidu to retreat. Realizing I needed to neutralize the marksman to regain aerial reconnaissance, I prepared to infiltrate the guarded rooftop nearby.
I slipped into the restricted area and silently assassinated a lone guard completing chores near an outer wall. I then used a zipline to slide across to an adjacent roof, dropping down directly behind a second soldier and eliminating him before he could react.
Spotting an archer stationed on a nearby roof, I executed a quick chain assassination to take him down silently.
With the outer guard ring cleared, I turned my attention to the marksman blocking the sky. He stood alongside a secondary archer, both actively patrolling the same roof.
I navigated around the perimeter to isolate the supporting archer first, waiting for him to turn his back before slipping onto a narrow ledge directly beneath his path.
As the archer stepped toward the edge, he nearly spotted me, but I pulled him over the ledge before he could raise an alarm.
I immediately followed up with a throwing knife chain kill on the marksman, clearing the roof and allowing Enkidu to safely return to the skies.
Until next time, happy gaming.
