there are days when
I think people have gone
stark, raving, stupid

would you shoot yourself?
lay your phone down,
it is your enemy’s weapon

sun behind the house,
my garden a nice place
for puttering

Basement! Danger!
photos from long ago
show me the beast

there is no better
place for a child than
in a garden

physics made real -
dropping a bucket of mud
at my feet

bees flow, flowers flow
let the world turn itself -
true belonging

Hello fellow poet lovers and writers! I'm really digging writing haiku, thanks to this community, especially to members boxcarblue@boxcarblue and dbooster@dbooster, who also regularly publish haiku. Please join in!

I've recently realized that haiku comes to me often while I am out and about, working in the garden, walking in the wild, or just sitting on my porch. I also often write them in response to comments or posts on Hive or during email exchanges. Those that come to me when I am outside or not at my desk come and go - I can almost never remember them when I sit down to do so. This batch contains only one that I came up with while I was outside. I wonder if you can tell which one.

Thank you so much for reading my tiny poems.
