Whose truth gets to be told?
Illusions, placebos from our souls
Have effects as strong as any other truths
Blessings are blessings after all
Whose truth gets to be believed?
Our modern witch doctors
would have us venerate them
trust only them
Whose truth gets to be worshipped?
It’s great science,
the best science,
you don’t need any other science but ours!
Whose truth gets to become law?
Can we be certain
we have not sacrificed a generation or two
in the name of their science?
When will we know if truth be told?
When our young mothers give birth
to the twisted and strange?
Mind is the builder.
Ancient wisdom, coded into our genes
gives the lie to this science.
Our bodies know how to heal themselves.
It’s powerful magic,
the best magic.
We don’t need any other magic but our own.
