Squid Painting
Last week I modeled the squid, this time around, I'm painting it up. I have to say, the purple color may have to be changed, because if I brighten the lights too much, it looks like an appropriate color for a squid with a mission.Technique
As you'll notice in the video, I did a lot of fracturing in this model to prevent painting over the wrong surfaces. So, I split the flags/flag posts, squid center and flag arms up. I also cut the squid in half and after painting that half, mirrored it to save a massive amount of time.Stare into the eyes...
of a spam killer! You can start to see how, if the lights were brightened, the purple would become a crazy pink. So, we're going to have to revisit the coloring for sure.Squid in repose
