Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope this helps authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, as well in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

Recovering My accounts and taking security seriously by chris-uk@chris-uk

image.png

Good to hear you managed to recover your HIVE account and sort out the rest of your socials too! Thanks for writing about this topic, even though it's not comfortable to share these kinds of things... I remember being hacked at least 2 times, and it was ugly to "look stupid", but it can happen to anyone... Especially with all this AI development and tools that can be used for doing malicious things too...
Creating regular backups and avoiding suspicious links are some of the good advice, but you never know... and it sucks when you can't confirm 100% how it even happened!

London Hive Meetup - I missed this stuff by adetorrent@adetorrent

image.png

I had high hopes for this one and was sure I would make it, but unfortunately, a lot of (life) things happened in the meantime, and I missed it again... 😟
Good to see smiling faces, and I 100% believe you about getting along with other Hivians, as I experienced the same at many meetups I attended!
The place looks awesome, and I hope there will be more meetups there... Maybe HiveOpenDays next year, or HiveFest? 😃

Dog Bite! And a Brief Farm Update by cliffagreen@cliffagreen

image.png

Huh... Sorry to hear you got bitten by a nasty dog(s)! Maybe you should talk with the owner about it, as he/she should keep them on the property and not leave them on the streets! Or, you could take some treats with you and make friends with little buggers... 😂
Love the Sherlock story, and maybe you could write more stories about "animal adventures" on the farm, as obviously, you do have talent and creativity to do so... Keep sharing; I liked this update!

COWS, COUNTRYSIDE, FOG AND ROADS... (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES) by jlinaresp@jlinaresp

image.png

I’m so glad you’re feeling better now and that those seven days have flown by. Your experiences and walks in your village, through its streets, have helped you to clear your mind and relax, because that’s a better way to recover than living under a great deal of stress. I’m really glad you’re well and that it was all just a bad dream.
Your photographs always evoke memories and a sense of mystery; they’re perfect, I often think that, because even in my own stories I talk about fog; everything within it feels unsettling because you can’t see clearly, and that can terrify many people. Your work, as always, is excellent.

Saturday walk along the banks of the Manzanares River (Eng - Esp) by belkyscabrera@belkyscabrera

image.png

It’s a beautiful, long park alongside the river, which makes for a lovely walk surrounded by nature. I love the bridges that span the river, allowing people to enjoy different views from there, but what I like most are the ceiba trees. At first I thought they were the Argentine ceibo, but when I looked it up I realised it’s a completely different tree, notable for its trunk and roots, which come in various shapes and sometimes form figures, as you can see in the photos.
A lovely walk, you’ve taken a pleasant break from your chores to go for a stroll and show us this beautiful spot.

La Niña de Halloween /Iniciativa by brujita18@brujita18

image.png

Excellent story, as always. The ending left me speechless and wondering what became of the little girl. It would have been better if the parents hadn’t opened the door, because evil took its revenge over something as trivial as giving an apple instead of a sweet. It seemed suspicious, and yet they let that strange little girl in, and she took the sweetest thing in their lives, their little daughter.
A brilliant suspenseful mystery story, perfect for this time of year.
