Something had happened. Don't do that.
and i was thinking about something that happened to me donkey years ago when i spent this month building a presentation that helped our company secure it for major clients like I worked late night stayed up putting there.

I was checked every figure prepared for every question and made sure my work was better than expected i assumed that if i kept performing where the right people would put this and what but when the meeting came i watched my boss presented my work and the slides.

I spent weeks putting together, he took all the credits and walked away looking like the smartest person in the room. Our CEO praised my boss for being so brilliant. I waited for the meeting to end, sweating my butt to applaud my contribution, but guess what?
He gave me nothing.

One week later, during my performance review, he told me that I needed to become more visible. If I wanted to get promoted. I just laughed inside of me and decided I had done the work but he had simply become
the face of it.

That was when I understood something uncertain about corporate life. Listen, being good at your job makes you valuable but making your boss look good can make you promotable.

The comfortable part is that the person doing the best work isn't always the person advancing.
