The worst kind of greed that could happen to anyone is the type where you can't do anything about it to defend yourself.
Some days ago, I was talking to a friend on the phone, and after I had asked her about her day, she had gone ahead to tell me about how her boss at work had ruined the entire day for her.
So this friend of mine had moved to a new city and decided she wanted to brush up her fashion designing skills. According to her, she had learned the skill a couple of years ago but had forgotten most of it, so she had gone to this shop down her street to pay this lady so she could learn from her.
Well, this friend of mine had gotten a gig from her colleagues because she was a school teacher by day and a fashion designer by night. Anyway, one of her teacher colleagues had given her some cloth materials to sew for her, and she had asked her boss if it was okay for her to do some work at the shop, to which her boss said yes.
She had even gone further to ask her boss if she needed to pay her for anything, and her boss had told her to just go ahead and do the shop. Fast forward to when she was done sewing and had handed it over to the customer; her boss had called her over on that same day that she was talking to me on the phone and had asked her to not only hand over every penny she made from that job but also to also pay separately for every material that she had taken from her boss to sew those clothes.
So she was to hand over the profits she made and also pay separately for the buttons and zips that she had used to make the dress. When I heard the whole thing, I knew that the boss was not only being greedy but was being a thief too.
Unfortunately, there was nothing the lady could do as she still had a lot of things that she wanted to learn from her madam, so leaving the shop and walking away wasn't an option, and she ended up making all the payments.
