Vermin in vermillion robes
Looked for diamonds in their angular earlobes
And when they found a diamond ring
The mousetraps didn’t mean a thing
Mice before the stately cat
Said, “You do not smell a rat.
Corruption erupts with the pups.
But puppets moved by dogs? Enough!”
Rats before the day of rest
They gnawed through the bullet-proof vest
And before the cat they said
“We were led into the chest.
And with the treasury of heart
With doves we come to bless.”
