Spare Rails • Monomad

I shot some spare railroad tracks the other day catching sun in the rail yard while waiting for their call to duty. There are a lot of spare parts kept here for quick fixes in emergency situations. Trains operate on a schedule and unlike roadways its nearly impossible to create a detour due to the fact that they run on tracks.

The heavy steel rail makes itself at home among the weeds and Nature just takes it in stride.

I photographed the rails with my Canon 5D camera and 70-200 mm lens.
