I took this photo on Medvednica mountain. It is located in a small country Croatia, in Europe.
I found the photo philosophically interesting and somewhat psychedelic because the pine looks merged with the tree, but it's actually not so close, there is a bit of space between.
It reminded me of certain biases that are responsible for the mistakes of connecting things that are actually not connected, at least not to the point we think they are, or in a way we perceive them to be. Would someone maybe see a pine that looks as if it grew from a tree and that it doesn't have it's root if we didn't know that it is biologically impossible? How often do we inaccurately connect emergence to the cause? You could say that this is just another nature photo, which it is, but to me it also raises many questions.
