Yo hace unos meses había colocado en mi PC Debian 13 Trixie, y lo hice apenas salió la nueva versión; sin embargo, tuve que volver a Linux Mint, ya que tenía algunos problemas con algunos programas de uso constante que no estaban funcionando bien y, además, la máquina no reiniciaba y, por más que busqué la solución, no pude conseguirla.

Razón por la cual me pasé de nuevo a Linux Mint con base Debian, pero al hacerlo mi máquina se quedaba con la pantalla negra, y al cambiar a Linux Mint con base Ubuntu, funcionó bien, pero a las semanas me dio de nuevo problemas en la pantalla y la máquina dejó de reiniciar.

Finalmente, busqué y exploré varias posibilidades, y finalmente descubrí que era un problema de hardware, y al eliminar la tarjeta de video Nvidia y hacer un par de actualizaciones, se acabaron mis problemas con la PC y seguí usando Linux Mint con base Ubuntu hasta esta semana, que había decidido volver a Debian, pero antes de hacerlo salió LMED 7 y decidí usarla.

A few months ago I had installed Debian 13 Trixie on my PC, and I did it as soon as the new version came out; however, I had to return to Linux Mint, since I had some problems with some constantly used programs that were not working well and, in addition, the machine would not restart and, as much as I searched for the solution, I could not get it.

That's why I switched back to Linux Mint with Debian base, but when I did it my machine was left with the black screen, and when I switched to Linux Mint with Ubuntu base, it worked fine, but after a few weeks it gave me problems on the screen again and the machine stopped restarting.

Finally, I searched and explored several possibilities, and finally I found out that it was a hardware problem, and by removing the Nvidia video card and making a couple of updates, my problems with the PC were over and I continued using Linux Mint with Ubuntu base until this week, I had decided to return to Debian, but before doing so LMED 7 came out and I decided to use it.

LMED 7 no usa como base Ubuntu, sino Debian 13 Trixie, que por cierto tuvo su última actualización el 17 de septiembre del 2025. Lo importante de este sistema operativo es que tiene la base y la estabilidad legendaria de Debian, combinada con la facilidad de manejo y uso que nos da Linux Mint.

Eso implica que los usuarios de LMED 7 tendremos un sistema liviano, estable y robusto, sin actualizaciones continuas, ya que se basa en los repositorios oficiales de Debian, y eso garantiza su estabilidad, que para los usuarios que usamos los equipos como una herramienta de trabajo, desarrollo y estudio, convierte este sistema en oro puro.

En equipos como el mío, de gama media o de gama media-alta, como el I5 o el Ryzen 3, que están entre 8 y 16 GB de RAM, el LMED 7 funciona y fluye de una manera asombrosa, dándole al usuario rapidez y seguridad en el manejo de los programas.

Sí es cierto que el LMED 7 viene con el escritorio Cinnamon; también es cierto que Linux Mint lo adecuó para ser usado en Debian y el mismo arranca con 800 MB de memoria, y mantiene una respuesta rápida al tener abiertos los navegadores, el VS Code y otras herramientas de desarrollo, junto con Gimp.
