Our pets and companion animals are undoubtedly a clear reflection of many attitudes that we as human beings should adopt. In their gestures you can directly perceive many faculties, tenderness, love, intelligence, skill, sweetness and ingenuity that dominate and lead us to feel that something so special for them. In this series I want to pay tribute to all of them and the great capacity they have to support their caregivers and owners, who are often just an example of these attitudes, although thanks to our companion animals we can, at least a little, infect ourselves and They bring us all that love that they feel for us. Sometimes I get the feeling that many of our dear friends are gifting us with this positive, loyal and loving attitude at all times. Many times we can think that we take care of them but in reality I think the opposite, they are the ones who take care of us, giving us this constant love and affection.
So in this series in the form of a tribute and also coinciding with the next day of love I have tried to release a series to show you these very special moments that they are good enough to give us. The editing of these images has a special treatment since I have used different Photoshop CC tools that I have to achieve an image finish that was somewhat striking. I have tried different ways of working with the images that I usually use and in the end I managed to choose the one that I think I like the most for this type of photography. By using saturation and vintage, the effect is diluted without losing the essence of the image, without losing those gestures that characterize this series in these two friends from the neighborhood. They are not my pets but I have been seeing and talking to them for years so I can consider them my friendly friends and neighbors.
In this second series of three images, the difference between shots was very little, but the result of the gestures can be appreciated, giving the three together an idea of what I want to convey in them. The very pronounced gestures of interest towards me but also of being aware of many other issues that they perceive, see, feel and smell around them. Nuestras mascotas y animales de compañía son sin duda un claro reflejo de muchas actitudes que nosotros como seres humanos deberíamos adoptar. En sus gestos se puede percibir directamente muchas facultades, ternura, amor, inteligencia, destreza, dulzura e ingenuidad que dominan y nos llevan a sentir ese algo tan especial por ellas. En esta serie quiero rendir un homenaje a todas ellas y la gran capacidad que tienen de soportar a sus cuidadores y propietarios que muchas veces nos son precisamente un ejemplo de estas actitudes aunque gracias a nuestros animales de compañía podamos, al menos un poco, contagiarnos y nos aportan todo ese amor que ellos sienten por nosotros. A veces tengo la sensación de que muchos de nuestros queridos amigos nos están regalando esta actitud positiva, leal y amorosa en todo momento. Muchas veces podemos pensar que cuidamos de ellas pero en realidad yo pienso todo lo contrario, son ellas las que cuidan de nosotros regalándonos este constate cariño y afecto.
Así es que en esta serie en forma de homenaje y también coincidiendo con el día próximo del amor he tratado de sacar una serie para mostraros estos momentos tan especiales que ellas tienen a bien regalarnos. La edición de estas imágenes tiene un tratamiento especial ya que he usado diferentes herramientas de Photoshop CC de las que dispongo para conseguir un acabado de la imagen que fuera algo llamativo. He probado con diferentes formas de trabajar las imágenes de las que suelo usar y al final conseguí escoger la que creo más me agrada para este tipo de fotografías. Al usar una saturación y un vintage el efecto queda diluido sin perder la esencia de la imagen, sin perder esos gestos que caracterizan esta serie en estos dos amigos del barrio. Ellos no son mis mascotas pero llevo viéndolos y hablando con ellos durante años así que puedo considerarlos como mis amables amigos y vecinos.
En esta segunda serie de tres imágenes la diferencia entre tomas era muy escasa pero el resultado de los gestos se puede apreciar dándole a las tres en conjunto una idea de lo que quiero trasmitir en ellas. Los gestos tan pronunciados de interés hacia mí pero también de estar pendientes de otras muchas cuestiones que ellos perciben, ven, sientes y huelen a su alrededor.
