An afternoon on the Orinoco River.

Sometimes photographers encounter difficult moments when going outdoors to shoot. One of the most unpredictable challenges is the weather.

Some time ago I had to take some pictures of the beautiful Antonella Betancourt at the Cocuyera beach, on the banks of the majestic Orinoco River in front of the Paseo Orinoco boulevard in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela. It was a hot March afternoon and as it is the dry period of the year in Venezuela, that afternoon we had Calima, a meteorological phenomenon consisting of the presence of very small particles of dust or sand in the atmosphere, this did not allow us to enjoy the typical sunsets with orange tones over the Orinoco River, typical of this time of the year.

As we could not postpone this photo session, we had to make these images without exposing the horizon that seemed to be a huge brown curtain in front of us that did not allow a good scene of the Orinoco River and the islands on the horizon.

Fortunately Antonella Betancourt is a professional model and with her experience we were able to make this beautiful portrait full of the best good vibes and 100% attitude. Because she knows that you shouldn't let bad weather ruin your desire to do a good job and have a good time.
