Africa as a continent, is a region faced with the basic issues of social and developmental upkeep.
In africa the major challenge faced is greed, which results to poor governance, eventually trailing to marginalization between the Elites and the poor, poor skill development techniques and the basis of all, bad educational system.
The orientation of our african society revolves around the Government, which is wrong, amidst all Governmental nonchalance, they cannot be held responsible for citizen's personal failures and individual ignorance, however it's inarguable that they are most suited to foster the necessities (Education) for total individual development.
For a region of abundant mineral resource, its countries and citizens are often surprisingly poor, a result of a failed government.
But all the blame cannot possibly be accorded the Government.
When one can identify the need and opportunity for development and growth, he/she cannot possibly reject that, which leads to the second problem, Ignorance.
A state of not knowing and not knowing you don't know.
Hence the need for enlightenment, "an ignorant person cannot teach the ignorant", aids and programmes such as those from NGO's are the basic building bridges for the continent, skill acquisition lessons which the nations or government will not provide, brought about by international bodies or local NGO's.
In other words, what Africa truely needs is Education and Skill development and someone to tell us we need these
