Hello dear friends in this wonderful community, it is a pleasure to post once again in this community, today I would love to talk about unhealthy competitions and their dangers. So let us begin the chat
Competitions are very unique, most competitions are used to determine a person's inner skill or talent, healthy competitions are encouraged, most of the competitions promote good friendship. But when the competition becomes unhealthy watch out !!!!
A person can know if a competition is unhealthy
There are various points so let's take them little by little
Excessive focus on winning which makes a person concentrate on winning or being the first instead of focusing on the main purpose for competing. This leads to feelings of worthlessness when a person does not win.
Negative feelings drivers: When a person begins to have mixed feelings about failing which may lead to anxiety that is bad for a person's life.
Another thing that can make a person to know if a competition is unhealthy is when one develops destructive behavior, this is when a person undermines a fellow competitor, cheating or threatening of a fellow competitor.
One more thing is the being Uninterested in physical growth, Instead of a person to focus on building his or herself up, they person focuses on the physical aspects of the competition which are the prizes or awards.
These are some few points a person should notice to know when a competition is turning unhealthy.
In other to keep the balance of a competition
Emotional balance: A competitor should learn to maintain his or her emotions in a competition, by creating a routine that makes one to pay attention.
Relationships: To take out stress and confusion, prioritize connections and relationships within oneself and the external competitors.
Lifestyle balance: full time rest and recreation can help create a balanced lifestyle that promote positive competition.
In conclusion unhealthy competitions should be discouraged and victims engaged In unhealthy competitions should be disqualified or taken out from the competition. This is my humble opinion regarding unhealthy competitions.
