Diet programs rely on the notion that calories in equals calories out. It is because of this exact reason that they are not sustainable and why something "new" always has to come a long. My fitness and health sky rocketed when I got rid of this destructive calorie counting mindset.
If you are eating the correct food, you should not have to restrict calories.
I mean, 3000 calories from bananas are not the same as 3000 calories from donuts, so if is crazy to think that your body will treat them the same. You get calories from fat, protein and carbs and they will all be treated differently.
