Saturday ☀️ 9448

It was cold, 6 degrees, but not unpleasant, with no rain or wind. It was Saturday, and it was time for my weekly walk around Mierendorff Island. Fog drifted across the Spree, and the sky was clear except for that bank of clouds in the east that looked as if it might burst. The sun wasn’t deterred from rising; on the contrary, it turned it into a wonderful autumnal spectacle that I was privileged to witness. It’s always such an experience to be out and about at sunrise, stepping out of the darkness into the light. The air was also wonderful to breathe, and at the southeastern corner, it was a delight to meditate and breathe deeply while gazing at the gently rippling water.

Kalt, 6 Grad, aber nicht unangenehm ohne Regen und Wind. Es ist Samstag und die wöchentliche Umrundung der Mierendorffinsel war fällig. Nebel trieb auf der Spree und der Himmel war klar bis auf diese zu explodieren scheinende Wolkenbank im Osten. Die Sonne liess sich davon nicht abhalten aufzugehen, im Gegenteil, sie machte daraus ein wunderbar anzusehendes herbstliches Schauspiel, dem ich beiwohnen durfte. Es ist doch immer wieder ein Erlebnis, zum Sonnenaufgang unterwegs zu sein und aus dem Dunkel ins Licht zu gehen. Die Luft war auch herrlich zu atmen und an der südöstlichen Ecke liess es sich wunderbar mit Blick auf das nur ganz leicht wellige Wasser meditieren und tief Atmen.
